Several ferry lines connect Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas and Tortola. Large and comfortable (some have sundecks), they take one hour to Tortola’s West End Ferry Dock and 15 minutes more to Road Town. Not every ferry continues on to Road Town. There are also ferries from Red Hook, St. Thomas. These take half an hour. At this writing the round-trip fare is $45. Taxis meet each ferry. Tip: Don’t forget you need a passport or proof of itizenship plus a photo ID. The schedules below re accurate at this writing. They do change, owever, so check before making plans.
